During your truffle hunting in Pescara, you will be guided by a truffle hunter, with a regular license, then authorized by the province. Your experience will last about an hour and a half and to look for truffles with you there will also be a trained dog that by sniffing the ground will tell you where to dig to find the precious truffle, located about ten centimeters deep in the ground.
During your walk in the woods, the truffle hunter will explain to you which are the best places where truffles can be found and in which seasons it is possible to find the white or black truffle. It will also advise you on how to preserve the truffle and how to eat it.
Your experience of truffle hunting in one of the richest regions of truffles will begin with the encounter with the truffle hunter and his dog that will briefly explain to you what you are going to do.
Your guide will explain to you and will tell you which plants are most likely to find truffles, the dog will carefully smell the areas where you will take it to find out exactly where the truffles are.
