During your truffle hunting experience in Florence you can walk through the woods of Florence, see for yourself how the truffle dog sniffs the ground to show you where to dig.
With your hands you can dig in a few inches into the ground and extract the truffle. During your walk in the woods your truffle hunter will explain you where to look for truffles, when you can find black and white truffles and how to eat them.
Truffle hunting in Florence begins with a meeting with your Truffle hunter, who will explain how your truffle experience comes about and give you a pair of boots to walk in the Florence forest.
You will then start walking in the woods with your Trifolaio and his faithful dog that will help you in your search. In fact the figure of the dog is fundamental to find the truffles, thanks to its trained nose.
Your mission will be to accompany the dog for the post and let him smell the roots of the plants near which it is easier to find truffles, your truffle hunter will explain to you where and when truffles can be found. When the dog has identified the point where the truffle is hiding then you can dig to gently gather your truffle.
